Kaynat Dandekar

Kaynat is a Paralegal specialist, where she handles all types of trademark, copyrights, design and patent proceedings, as well as trademark searches in multiple jurisdictions, registration, protection, and prosecution and supports clients in the enforcement of their intellectual rights domestic and international. In addition, she also assists in proceedings before the office of CGPDTM, Madrid and WIPO. Kaynat has been involved with trademarks from the very beginning, She has over 08 years of extensive experience in all matters relating to prosecution and enforcement of trade marks, copyrights, designs and patent, in trade mark clearance, portfolio management, as well as advising on complex IP conflicts, on effective dispute settlement strategies, and on the protection and enforcement of non-traditional marks in the country. 

She also drafts and prepares responses to trademark office actions and provides opinions on how to overcome any objections and other documentation associated with applications, coordinates required documents for filing with the intellectual property offices, enters and monitors deadlines. Kaynat handles a diverse array of sectors, including automotive, aviation, fashion, food and beverages, financial services, mining, telecommunications and life sciences. 

She finds it really rewarding to work closely with a client, regardless of their sector, to deeply understand their particular commercial and legal issues, and then to help them to find the best possible solutions. Prior to joining Leonard, Kaynat worked with multinational companies in Mumbai for 09 years where She was responsible for client management and local counsel management, transaction documents, investment structure advice and other aspects of transactions. She always finds it refreshing to have new perspectives and to view challenges through different prisms. Kaynat certainly brings these creative problem solving skills to her work as a paralegal.
